South Dade Anglers was created in 1969 as a family oriented fishing Club and its objectives are to promote sportsmanship, fellowship, conservation and to exchange ideas to improve angling skills.

The Club owns its own clubhouse. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the clubhouse, located at 14035 S.W. 142 Avenue, just south of Tamiami airport. We schedule a fishing related, educational program featuring some of the very best guides in the South Florida area at each meeting. The club also has its Directors' meeting on the 1st Tuesday of the month and all members are encouraged to attend.

Fishing outings are usually scheduled for the Saturday following the 1st meeting of each month. Each outing is capped off with a gathering to share stories and develop friendships.

We are proud to be the only family oriented fishing club in the area. Family members automatically become associate club members and are encouraged to participate in the outings and compete for trophies and citations.


SDA has semi-annual and annual fishing competition with numerous categories based on; species, line strength, live bait or artificial, reel category (spin, plug and fly). Awards are presented at our annual banquet.

A newsletter is sent out twice monthly to keep members informed of upcoming activities, new boating/fishing regulations and fishing successes of the members.

Yearly dues are nominal: $250 per year. Since these dues do not cover all of our expenses, various fund raisers are held and each member is expected to help so that we can continue with our activities. If everyone does a little bit of work, the club functions well and a good time is had by all.
